1. Acceptance of Terms and Updates

It is important to read these Terms of Service carefully. Your enrolling in the course constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not accept these terms, you must discontinue use of (referred to herein as “this site”), logout and email a request that your account be deleted to If you use this site and do not comply with these terms, reserves the right to take action at any time, including the right to deny access to any individual who contravenes these Terms of Service.

These terms may be amended from time to time without notice. You should check these terms regularly for any updates. We indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page.

2. Who we are and Purpose of this Site is an online LMS ( based in Moodle ) specifically created for the provision of continuing professional development (CPD) to primary school teachers in Ireland. It is a shared learning space where participants pay a fee to access and complete Department of Education and Skills approved online summer courses. During the course participants engage with online content, complete assignments and partake in online forums with other participants. The LMS tracks users time spent online engaging with the course and provides feedback on assignments thereby enabling the course provider to certify the participant for EPV days ( 3 EPV days for completion of one course and 4 EPV days for the completion of 2 courses ) is linked to the site and is ran by Foodoppi ( trading as LarkinLennox ltd).

3. Use and Obligations

Participants who undertake an online summer course must enrol using their full name as per their teaching council registration. Each user will be provided with a username and password. Other information collected is address, email address, mobile phone number and name of school. It is essential to use your full name on enrolment as this is the name used to identify the teacher to the Department of Education and Skills in order to validate their EPV days. These programmes are specifically designed for teachers with a teaching council registration number. All users are expected to meaningfully partake in all aspects of the online and offline learning experience. Participants are also expected to honestly account for time spent on all course related activities and any attempts to undermine the genuine accounting of time spent is a breach of these Terms of Service.

If this is not possible, please request unenrolment at any stage at No refunds can be provided up to 7 days prior to commencing of course or once the user has begun the course.

Participants must ensure that the work completed in their name is original, unpublished work completed by them and not previously submitted as an assignment. Plagiarism will not be tolerated Impersonation is a breach of these Terms of Service. Account usernames and passwords for access to courses/resources are personal to you and must not be shared.

We insist that, in using the service, you abide by the rules, policies and codes of conduct detailed herein.

4. Content and Copyright

The content on this site is a mix of public information, participant contributions, content created by the course providers (copyright of the course provider) and external links. It is protected by copyright under Irish and European law. Some materials are available for download and may be copied for non-commercial purposes only. The reproduction of material for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. Material within linked sites outside of the Foodoppi Academy may also have copyright restrictions and this should be checked on those websites, should you plan to use their content in any way.

Regarding external links, has no control over, does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for broken external links, nor for the content, advertising or policies of those sites. shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.

The views expressed in participant contributions are those of their author and will not be held responsible for the content of any message. may at any time, and without prior or post warning, delete messages or close discussions on forums as it deems appropriate. Every effort will be made to remove objectionable material within a reasonable time frame.

5. Forums: Code of Conduct

Within our online forum there is an expectation that all participants act in a responsible, ethical and respectful manner at all times. Participants contributions in the online forum are public within this user community of the course. Users posts should be genuine and constructive and demonstrate new learning and old experiences. All participants are expected to behave in a manner that is not hurtful or abusive to any other party. Participants are responsible for the discussion forum contributions they themselves post. This incorporates being respectful of copyright restrictions and all non original contributions should be references. This also means that users will not post any materials that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, potentially libellous or otherwise violate any laws.

Considering the real-time nature of our discussion forums, it is impossible for us to review messages, keep all objectionable material (including messages) off this site or confirm the validity of information posted. Use of Cookies: uses the Moodle online LMS ( learning management system) which requires the use of cookies. A ‘cookie’ is a file sent to your browser by the service that enables your computer to access information on the website in a faster and more efficient manner. Some cookies are required to ensure that enrolment and other functionality of this site works correctly. Personal Information:
All areas of the require your log in details to gain access. Your log in details include a username and password.

When logged in, your name and any image attached to your profile is visible to other logged-in users. Very limited additional user information may be visible to other enrolled participants in the same course/course group as you (e.g., your name). Your full profile is visible only to moderators and administrators, who need access to it for the purpose of providing the service.

What other information do we collect, store and share? and collects data on users of and visitors to this site. This is done through the recording of IP addresses used to access our site. also uses Google Analytics, which collects first-party cookies, data related to the device/browser, IP address and on-site activities to measure and report statistics about user interactions on the site. The information collected is used by us on an aggregate basis to assess levels of traffic to this site, the areas users are accessing, the devices and browsers through which the site is accessed and for statistical analysis generally. We collect this information specifically to help us manage and monitor the site’s capacity as well as to help us understand your needs and to better develop and deliver our services to meet those needs. While some aggregate, anonymised data may be provided by us to other members of the education community, we do not collect and evaluate this information for others.

Information is also tracked and collected through regarding course participation activity. It is used by the course provider to acquire necessary information regarding course access, user verification, valid participation, time spent online, course completion and certification, i.e. in accordance with the purpose of the site. Some of this relevant information is then passed on to the Department of Education ad Science were necessary. All data is stored for seven years however participants may not have access to this information for seven years.

Users may access course progress information/checklists, online time in some cases, courses completion and certification information up until such time as the course is closed. Some certificates remain available after the course closes, but not indefinitely. If you wish to retain such information for your own records, please copy/download it locally. Such data will be retained for a period of one year minimum, after which it may be deleted from the system (see next paragraph).

With effect from May 25th, 2018, data related to your course engagement will continue to be retained for one year minimum but may be retained on the system for up to seven years to support our function in better developing and delivering our services in accordance with your needs, as well supporting our reporting requirements to the Department of Education and Skills.. With regard to data compiled prior to May 2018, plans are being implemented to maintain these records for 7 years.

Some information on teacher engagement with summer courses approved by the Department of Education and Skills (DES) for Extra Personal Vacation days is shared with the DES in accordance with its requirements for these summer courses. This may include detailed lists of teachers and/or aggregate information. Other than that, while some aggregate, anonymised data regarding course participation may be provided to other members of the education community for the support and advancement of teachers’ professional learning, we do not collect and evaluate this information for others.

We, and e-tutors on our behalf, receive and reply to email from users on a regular basis and occasionally receive and reply to text messages. For record-keeping purposes we retain copies of incoming and outgoing email but texts are not part of the formal record keeping and will be deleted within one year maximum. Information in the email we receive and send will not be disclosed to any third party other than in accordance with the information included in the Data Protection paragraph below.

Data Protection: treats all personal data collected as confidential and will use it solely for the purposes intended. The information will only be disclosed as permitted by law or for the purposes listed in the PDST’s registration with the Data Protection Commissioner – reference number 13590/ Third party service providers (LMS host and web developers) are engaged by us to provide the technical service required by (server, software and connectivity) under contract and in accordance with Data Protection laws, EU and member state laws. Access to personal data is provided only for the purposes of providing the service. This service provider is based in the European Economic Area (and at the date of the publication of these terms of service, in Ireland) and is subject to GDPR and general data protection laws. In the event that there is a need for the service provider (data processor) to transfer data to any third party data processors, all reasonable contractual clauses, technical and organisational measures are implemented by the service provider to ensure adequate protection of data. Any third parties with whom we, or the service provider on our behalf, share your data are obliged to keep your details securely and to use them only to deliver the service they provide to us and to you. When the data processor(s) no longer needs your data to fulfil this service, they will dispose of the details promptly.

7. User Accounts and Security takes all reasonable steps to ensure data security, starting with the physical security of the hosting facility and extending to security of the server through applying all relevant patches and updates. However, as no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you transfer the data at your own risk.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access details and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We repeat that usernames and passwords for access to courses/resources are personal to you and must not be shared.

Accounts remain on indefinitely once accessed intermittently - there is no expiry date for the personal data you submit. Accounts which have not been accessed for a substantial period (generally seven years) will be suspended and subsequently deleted. On request (, we will delete your account. By registering and beginning your course you accepted the terms and conditions of this service.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold and its agents, employees, partners and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through this site, your use of this site, your connection to this site, your violation of the Terms of Service, or your violation of any rights of another user.

9. Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ireland, whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute in relation to these terms or any related non-contractual obligations.

By using this online service, you consent to receive emails, online messages within the LMS, text messages and/or telephone calls from time to time related to the courses in which you are enrolled. You also consent to receiving very occasional emails related to services generally and Such emails and/or texts and/or calls will be made to the email address and telephone number in your account (either provided during initial registration or subsequently edited by you). You have the ability to opt out of use of at any time by requesting that your account be deleted.

You may wish to contact to opt out of its use, if you believe that your or others’ rights have been violated through use of, for data protection reasons including your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to make a complaint or with a query/comment on the service provided.

For contacts related to infringement of the Terms of Service, please provide the following information:
(a) An electronic or physical signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the interested party;
(b) A description of the location on this site of the material that you claim is infringing or nature of your query or complaint,
(c) Your address, telephone number, and email address.
Foodoppi will endeavour to act quickly in the case of any clear infringement of the Terms of Service.

In the case of all communication requiring action and/or a response, please correspondence in writing, preferably by email. We will, as a minimum, provide an initial acknowledgement of receipt of the communication within 7 days of its receipt and endeavour to resolve any issues within one month. In the case where a complainant does not subsequently respond to contact from Foodoppi within two months from the date of the initial correspondence, it will be deemed that the matter cannot be resolved and the complaint declared null and void.
